Terms of Service
Effective March 2026. These terms describe product responsibility, wallet boundaries, trading risk, and use of Balchemy.
Acceptance
By connecting an identity wallet or using Balchemy, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Balchemy. These terms may be updated periodically; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Service Description
Balchemy is a crypto trading product where users create and operate autonomous Hub agents on Solana and Base. The product provides tools for natural-language rules, risk management, portfolio tracking, and agent runtime control.
Balchemy uses a two-layer wallet model. Your personal wallet remains in your sole custody at all times: connecting it to Balchemy only proves ownership through a signed message and never grants spending authority. Hub agents trade from separate, platform-managed agent wallets that you choose to fund; those wallets are encrypted, policy-bound, and limited to the amounts you deposit and the rules you configure. On-chain transactions enter the authorized execution path only after the rules, runtime mode, risk, scope, and approval requirements that apply to the action are evaluated. You retain full responsibility for the trading strategies you deploy and their outcomes.
User Obligations
By using Balchemy, you agree to:
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, including those governing cryptocurrency trading and financial instruments.
- Not use Balchemy to conduct illegal activities, market manipulation, or any activity that harms other users or the integrity of blockchain networks.
- Maintain the security of your wallet and any API keys issued under your account. You are responsible for all activity originating from your credentials.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent security controls, or abuse Balchemy infrastructure including rate limits and API access controls.
Limitation of Liability
Balchemy provides the product on an “as is” basis. Crypto trading carries significant risk including total loss of funds. Balchemy is not liable for:
- Trading losses resulting from agent strategies you configure and deploy.
- On-chain transaction failures, network congestion, or smart contract risks.
- Loss of access to your wallet or funds held in external wallets.
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of Balchemy.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Balchemy’s total liability for any claim is limited to the amount of fees paid by you to Balchemy in the 30 days preceding the claim.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or use of Balchemy shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance. These terms do not limit any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
