One Swap Fee
Balchemy has one way of charging: a single global swap fee on every executed swap, buy or sell. There are no subscription plans, pricing tiers, locked features or monthly charges. Everyone gets the same product.
Current rate
The current standard swap fee is 1% (100 basis points) of the swap input amount.
| Item | Treatment |
|---|---|
| Balchemy swap fee | 1% / 100 bps of the input amount, on buys and sells |
| Monthly subscription | None |
| Plans, tiers or paid feature gates | None |
| Network, gas, priority or routing costs | Separate, where they apply |
| Signal Source or referral share | Paid out of the one fee where configured; never a second fee for you |
Example
A swap with an input amount of 100 USDC:
- Balchemy fee: 1 USDC.
- Amount left for the swap route, before separate network or routing costs: 99 USDC.
Token amounts are accounted in integer units, so the smallest unit can round. The quote and the final trade record are authoritative for a specific swap.
When the fee applies
The fee applies only when a swap actually executes. These never create a fee:
- a decision your agent makes in shadow mode;
- a held, blocked or rejected decision;
- a request that fails before submission.
Agents set up with the CLI run in shadow mode today, so they do not generate swap fees. Live execution is still being completed; when it is available, the same single fee applies.
What the fee does not change
Your fee never depends on how much you use the product, which chain you trade on, or which features you use.
Rate limits exist to keep the service reliable. They are not paid tiers.
Signal Sources and referrals
A Telegram or Discord Signal Source, or a referral, can be recorded as the origin of a trade. Any share for a source owner comes out of the one Balchemy fee; you never pay extra. Payout to source owners is not instrumented yet and is not promised until it is verified end to end.
